How to Apply for Funding
PSFA believes that strong schools are the foundation of strong communities. Through community support, we strive to inspire life-long learners by supporting high-quality education for every public school student.
What do we fund?
PSFA works closely with the Methow Valley School District to support enrichment programs, experiences and educational materials in a wide variety of arenas. Some examples of this funding include specialists, teacher trainings, field trips, outdoor education, classroom materials for special units of learning, mental health support and so much more!
PSFA grants do not cover clothing, food, lodging and transportation expenses.
Who can apply for funding?
Large grants (over $500)
Teachers, students and other school partners may apply for PSFA funding. We accept larger grant applications (over $500) three times a year: May 30, September 30 and January 30. Fully completed and approved by a principal applications should be sent to [email protected].
Because we work closely with the school district to determine which requests should be covered under district funds and which should be submitted to PSFA, applications must be approved by a principal at either MV Elementary School, Liberty Bell Junior/Senior High School or the ILC prior to submission. PSFA is a funding organization, and is not responsible for the administration and content of any of the programs it funds.
Small grants for staff ($500 or less)
At any time during the school year a MVSD staff member or student can request funds for projects or materials (costing up to $500 for staff and $300 for students) by filling out an application, getting approval and a signature from a principal (or for students, a teacher) and sending the application to [email protected].
