PSFA funds many hands on experiences for Methow Valley public school students, such as this student led farmers market. By providing supportive funding for Classroom in Bloom, students not only grow their own healthy food, but learn how to prepare it and even sell it. Other examples of such PSFA funded programs include Let 'Em Ride horse therapy, strings instruction, wellness materials & speakers, science & writing coaching, artists in residence, the Close Up trip for juniors to Washington DC, Poetry Out Loud coaching and support for individual students projects. This year, we are proud to offer significant funding for a mental health counselor to help students navigate their life challenges.

Working in conjunction with the Methow Valley School district, PSFA offers over 75 after school activity groups for all ages each school year. Group activities cover a wide range of interesting and fun topics such as outdoor recreation, cooking, nature studies, yoga, dance, art, reading and writing topics and construction. Hundreds of students participate in these diverse learning opportunities.
